The Munich Agreement was an agreement between Germany and Britain to give Czechoslovakia's Sudetenland to Germany to appease them. The British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain claimed that the Munich agreement allowed Europe to maintain peace without the use of violence and war. However, WWII was inevitable and the Munich agreement only delayed the time of the war. With the horrible economic conditions resulting from the Treaty of Versailles and the Great Depression, extremism was easily cultivated and people would listen in desperation. oBy the time of the Munich agreement, Hitler had conquered Austria and was ready for a full war. It was proven that despite of the appeasement deal, Germany continued to invade the rest of Czechoslovakia and later on Poland, which marks the beginning of WWII.
